SilverStripe 2.4.1 is out!
It is developing more and more as we see. This new release has quite a few fixes. With SilverStripe 2.4 we had some usability problems with the DateField. The blog post says that the 2.4.1 has a new DateField which is more usable and jQuery.
Also this includes few security fixes, which have been found on 2.4 version, we found that the SilverStripe installer is now more secure. Setting the site to Live mode when it is installed is quite a good one, as most can forget to set it to live once going live, this print errors on the screen and can be helpful for attackers to break the site. So this is quite a smart approach for that.
URL translation has been improved as well. This is much more important for Umlauts or Macrons characters.
We are looking forward to adopt the new release for our developments soon as well.
